SABC interim board must trust me: minister
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Communications Minister Ayanda Dlodlo insists she is not meddling in the affairs of the South African Broadcasting Corporation's (SABC) interim board, but aims to assist.

Dlodlo, however, communicated her intention to be more involved on an operational level.
"The board must trust me enough that I will do a credible job. I am not here to skim anybody off their work. I am here to ensure that my mandate is fulfilled as per the constitution," says Dlodlo.
Dlodlo addressed the meeting following a meeting between Parliament's Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa), the interim board of the SABC and the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) at Auckland Park in Johannesburg.
She says the interim board won't have around for long, since it will be replaced by a permanent board.
"The biggest problem here is finances. I've had to give them a person to help them with finances. I want to do the same thing again with Human Resources issues. I'm going to give them people. It's not my friends of relatives, its people from within the public sector," says Dlodlo.
