SACP calls for unity during Castro memorial
Updated | By Silindelo Masikane
SACP Second General Secretary, Solly Mapaila, says current leaders in government are not living up to the legacy of the late Cuban leader Fidel Castro.

Mapaila addressed guests at a memorial service held by the Communist Party and Friends of Cuba Society in Johannesburg.
Mapaila didn't mince his words, calling out the lack of ethical leadership coming from current leaders.
"The bar of conduct of discipline of leaders must be higher than of ordinary masses in society. That's the only way that people will accept your leadership," said Mapaila.
Mapaila said recent calls for a cabinet reshuffle are simply ridiculous, because comrades will not always agree in a movement, but that doesn't mean they should be kicked out.
"This call is misguided. It's actually puerile or childish. It should not even be entertained", said Mapaila.
