SAHRC set to probe Enyobeni tavern deaths
The South African Human Rights Commission will investigate the deaths 21 minors at the Enyobeni tavern in East London.
The youngsters died in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The SAHRC believes the children's best interests were not upheld at the Tavern.
The commission's Dr Eileen Carter says they will investigate everyone who were part of the evening.
“So we have opened up a file and we will be rolling out our investigation and as soon as next week we want to engage all the relevant stakeholders around the table, get all the adults in the room and discuss what has gone wrong because certainly the best interest of the child principle has not been upheld wherever it by by-laws, the liquor board or failure of the liquor board.”

The deaths of the 21 minors has sent shockwaves across the country.
Youth group LoveLife believes that owners of the establishment should be charged with culpable homicide.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has also added his voice to the tragedy saying that law enforcement should act where needed.
