SAHRC takes Vicki Momberg to Equality Court
Updated | By Olivia Phalaetsile
The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) said it has decided to take motorist Vicki Momberg to the Equality Court.
Momberg was filmed hurling racist insults at police after being involved in a smash-and-grab incident in February 2016.
She also threatened black people, saying she would shoot and run them over with her car.
SAHRC spokesperson Isaac Mangena said they consulted with the officers who responded to the incident.
"We are currently waiting for the Equality Court to decide on the date Momberg will appear in court", he said.
