Sakhumzi Restaurant mourns death of manager
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Employees and patrons of the Sakhumzi Restaurant in Vilakazi Street, Soweto are mourning the loss of a 60-year-old manager who was shot and killed by armed men at the weekend.
The manager was killed after two armed men tried to gain entry to the restaurant after closing time.
Sakhumzi Restaurant spokesperson Archie Tsoka says closing their doors is not an option.
"We get bookings even a year in advance. As a result we find it impossible to shut down business, but in the evenings we shall be closing a little bit earlier for the course of this week," says Tsoka.
Tsoka says they are in talks with the family over a memorial service.
Police spokesperson Kay Makhubela says investigations are continuing.
