The South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco) in the North West has expressed its shock at the killing of a teacher by a pupil.

Maths teacher Gadimang Costa Mokolobate, from at Ramotshere Technical High School, was allegedly stabbed to death by a learner near Dinokana outside Zeerust.
The 17-year-old schoolboy has since been arrested and will face a charge of murder.
Sanco spokesperson Paul Sebegoe has called for the learner to be suspended in order to send a message to all learners that bringing weapons onto school premises is unacceptable.
"We would also like to appeal to the department of education to put in measures that must be taken to empower teachers to deal with this despicable and atrocious acts that are threatening their safety and other learners," says Sebegoe.
He adds the killing of the teacher is a manifestation of moral breakdown in society.
He has urged the government to review its policy on disciplining learners.
The learner is expected to appear in court on Monday.
