SANDF to investigate Mozambican border shooting

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) has confirmed
a shooting incident did take place between South African soldiers and
Mozambican Border Police in the area of Ndumo in the far north of KwaZulu-Natal
on Sunday.

The incident is believed to have taken place on the east of Farazella along the RSA-Mozambique border at 4 pm.
SANDF's spokesperson, Mafi Mgobozi, says South African soldiers were conducting routine patrol as part of borderline protection, when there was a shootout.
"At the present moment as the South African National Defence Force, we are investigating the circumstances for the shooting. Once we get more information, we would be able to say what really happened on that incident," says Mgobozi.
Mgobozi could not confirm if there were any causalities from the incident.
