Sandton shooting leaves driver injured
A man traveling with his daughter has been wounded
after unknown gunmen opened fire on his car in Sandton on Monday morning.
Police spokesperson Dimakatso Sello says the incident occurred at around 7am.
“The police in Sandton are investigating an attempted murder case subsequent to a shooting incident Cambridge and Witkoppen.”
The man suffered several gunshot wounds has been rushed to hospital.
“It is alleged that the victim was driving with his daughter when two unknown men driving in a silver bakkie opened fire at the victim and fled the scene.”
Police are investigating the matter, although no arrests have been made.
