BLF staged a protest outside the home of Tisa Blackstar editor, Peter Bruce on Thursday.

Bruce wrote an article which critiqued the controversial Gupta family.

BLF has accused Bruce and 10 other editors, journalists and media personalities of covering up white corruption in their reporting of the news.

Sanef chairperson, Mahlatse Gallens, says the BLF's actions are criminal.

"What we are asking is a court interdict against them for harassing, intimidating, assaulting and threatening journalists. We have seen them increase the list of journalist they are targeting. A lot of what they are doing is criminal" says Gallens.

The BLF has released a list of journalists they are targeting.

This includes Peter Bruce, Sam Sole, Adriaan Basson, Stephen Grootes, Max du Preez, Barry Bateman, Alec Hogg, Ferial Haffajee, Karima Brown and Eusebius McKaiser.

Gallens says they have also met with the Minister of Police Fikile Mbalula.

"We have met with the Minister of Police following these threats. We got the assurance that these cases will be investigated. We also need assurance that these cases will be prosecuted because we cannot continue to see journalists attacked and open charges then nothing happens after that.”
