SANParks to reopen accommodation today

South African National Parks (SANParks) will be reopening accommodation at the majority of its parks across the country from today.

This comes after Tourism Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane announced that intra-provincial travel and overnight stays would be permitted.
SANParks spokesperson Rey Thakhuli says strict protocols will remain in place.

“These camps will not be operating in terms of full capacity because we have to observe all health protocols that have been put in place by the government.
“We will still be applying strict health protocols, areas that are frequently visited by people will be disinfected.”
Accommodation that are scheduled to open next week Friday include Addo, Camdeboo and Karoo National Parks.
Mountain Zebra National Park will open on 20 August.
