The South African National Taxi Association (Santaco) in Gauteng says all taxi routes will be operational on Tuesday morning.
This follows a shutdown on Monday morning which left thousands of commuters in Gauteng stranded at taxi ranks and stops.

Members of Santaco in Gauteng are demanding more money from government to compensate for loss of income during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula spoke in Soshanguve, west of Pretoria, on Monday afternoon after disgruntled taxi drivers blocked roads with burning tires and police fired rubber bullets.
Spokesperson for Santaco in Gauteng Midday Mali says the organisation is expecting a more detailed response from government on their grievances.
"The shutdown we had was planned for today only and tomorrow everything is back to normal. We are waiting for a response from the minister on Wednesday around what he is going to say in response to our demands.
"Our demands are that the R1.135 billion is very little... and number two is the red tape that is used in terms of the access to the relief fund should be released."
