Sars glitch leaves taxpayers frustrated
Updated | By ECR News
The South African Revenue Service (Sars) says a dedicated team of technicians is working around the clock to keep its e-filing system running smoothly.

A glitch in the system saw early bird submissions being unsuccessful.
The tax season got under way on Monday.
The revenue service has been urging citizens take more use of the e-filing system in a bid to reduce the queues at Sars branches around the country.
Some taxpayers who tried to file their returns online ended up being frustrated as they couldn't complete their submission or save their data.
Sars’ Marcia Ujobolo says this was caused by a high volume of submissions, which placed the system under pressure.
