The trial of three men and a girl accused of killing teenager Kirsty Theologo by setting her alight in an apparent satanic ritual is expected to continue in the High Court sitting in the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
On Tuesday Lester Moody, 19, the man convicted and sentenced for killing Theologo, 18, testified against four other accused. Moody is serving a prison sentence under a plea bargain reached after he confessed to being part of the killing in October 2011. Four other accused, Lindon Wagner, Robin Harwood, Harvey Isha, and Courtney Daniels, have pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, attempted murder, and assault to cause grievous bodily harm.
A second accused, Jeremy King, also entered into a plea bargain with the State in an attempt to get a lesser sentence. Moody told the court that a game using toilet paper and matchsticks indicated who should be sacrificed in an apparent satanic ritual killing. He said the matches were wrapped in toilet paper. A question would be asked and the way in which the matches fell out of the toilet paper determined whether the answer to the question was a yes or a no."We asked the game if Kirsty should be the prostitute and it said yes," Moody told the court.
