SAWS warns of possible thundershowers in Gauteng

The South African Weather Service has issued a warning for possible severe thunderstorms in Gauteng over the coming week.

Forecaster Kgolofelo Mahlangu says there is a 60% chance of thunderstorms in the province, with cooler temperatures also expected until Wednesday.
"On Monday, we are expecting severe thunderstorms in the eastern parts of Gauteng. On Wednesday, it's mostly just the northern parts of Gauteng. We can expect a 30% of afternoon thunderstorms in Tshwane.”
Mahlangu also warned of a level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms in Gauteng on Sunday.
Residents can expect warmer conditions to return on Thursday.
