The SCA ruled on Friday that the former statesman had no reasonable prospects of success.

Zuma and French arms company Thales faces charges related to the multi billion-rand arms deal.

Thales had also applied to the Pietermaritzburg High Court for a permanent stay of prosecution.

The National Prosecuting Authority in KZN says with today's dismissal of his application Zuma will now have to appear in court on the 6th of May.

Last month, he missed his court date - citing ill-health.

His lawyers said Zuma had been receiving medical treatment overseas, but questions were asked of the sick note provided by his legal team.

The court issued a warrant of arrest for him. It will be carried out if he doesn't show up at that next appearance in May.
