School boy stabbed to death in Rustenburg

A 17-year-old school boy was stabbed to death in Lethabong near Rustenburg, North West police said on Wednesday.

Sergeant Kelebogile Moleko said he was stabbed on Tuesday and later died in hospital.
She said the police were called to deal with group that residents complained were disturbing the peace on Phillip Selaolane Street in Lethabong .
“Upon arrival they found the group and among them one person was badly stabbed in his thigh. He informed the police that there is another victim who was badly stabbed, but taken to the clinic for medical treatment.”
Amongst the group, was a person holding a knife and it is alleged that he used it to stab the victims. The police immediately confiscated the knife.
An 18-year-old was arrested and charged with murder. He was expected to appear in the Bafokeng Magistrate’s Court in Tlhabane on Thursday. Sergeant Moleko said police could not determine if the fight was gang related or not. - ANA
