A second suspect believed to be involved in the murder of North West businessman Ben Gumbi is set to appear in the Rustenburg Magistrate's Court on Monday.
The 29-year-old suspect was arrested in Hillbrow on Thursday.
He will face a charge of murder.
Last month, the same court granted an application by the first suspect, Sibongiseni Ngubane, to reopen his bail hearing.
The duo is among four people accused of killing Gumbi in the Rustenburg CBD in August.
The vehicle used by the suspects to flee the scene was found abandoned at the corner of Helen Joseph and Lourie Streets.
“Collaborative efforts of a multi-disciplinary team, consisting of Hillbrow Tactical Response Team. Rustenburg Crime Intelligence and Rustenburg detectives, led to the arrest of another suspect in Johannesburg on Thursday evening, 16 November 2023, for the alleged murder of Ben Gumbi,” said provincial police spokesperson Adéle Myburgh.
