Security guards critical after being shot in Johannesburg
Two security guards were shot and critically wounded close to a railway line in Rosherville Road in City Deep, Johannesburg, in the early hours of Sunday morning, paramedics said.
Upon arrival at the scene, ER24 paramedics and other services found both men, believed to be in their 30s, laying near the tracks, ER24 spokeswoman Chitra Bodasing-Harduth said.
“During assessment it was found that the men were in a critical condition. They were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.”
The cause of the shooting was unknown and authorities were on the scene to investigate, she said.
