Selected Home Affairs offices to open doors on Saturday
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The Department of Home Affairs says some of its offices will be open on Saturday as it looks to reduce the backlog of uncollected documents.

Three offices in Gauteng and North West will open their doors over the weekend.
The offices, which will operate from 8am to 1pm, are the Menlyn office in Tshwane and the Mmabatho and Mankwe offices in North West.
The department’s spokesperson Siya Qoza says the extended operating hours are aimed at people who cannot access services during the week.
"Service to be offered is collection of smart ID cards and passports. The department will communicate when various offices will open on Saturdays. We encourage clients to take advantage of the extended hours on Saturdays to collect documents they have applied for."
