Several Pretoria suburbs remain in the dark as Wapadrand repairs drag on
Updated | By Karabo Tebele
Residents in several areas in Pretoria East remain without power due to ongoing repairs at the Wapadrand substation.

The substation caught fire last Saturday.
The affected areas include Faerie Glen, Zwavelpoort, Lombardy, Wapadrand, Valley Farm, Silver Lakes, Tierpoort, Koedoeberg, and Donkerhoek.
But the city's MMC on Utility Services Phillip Nel said on Wednesday that they are making progress with the restoration of power.
"During Sunday and Monday, we were able to re-energise all of the northern suburbs which include Silver Lakes, Willow Acre, Tiger Valley, and those areas.
"We now still have one half of the substation that has not been energised because of the panels that were burnt out and those panels have been replaced and being assembled.
"During the night and the early part of tomorrow, we will be able to energise the Lombardie area, Farie Glen, Koedoeberg and those major areas."
