Severe power outages hit Tshwane
The City of Tshwane says it is dealing with massive power outages and fallen trees in various parts of its seven regions following strong winds and lightning flashes last night.
"Our teams are working diligently to speedily address power supply challenges. We are prioritising area outages after which individually reported power supply complaints will be attended to," says city spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.
The affected areas include:
- Waterkloof
- Hatfield
- Arcadia
- Groenkloof
- Muckleneuk
- Ashlea Gardens
- Gezina
Customers are urged to report power failures by texting the word 'power' followed by an account number to 082 612 0333 or 44676.
