Severe thunderstorms in Johannesburg - SA Weather Service
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a yellow alert for severe thunderstorms in Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and North West.

According to the SAWS, the thunderstorms will last until 11 pm on Monday.
They have warned that there should be localised flooding and hail, which will reduce visibility on the roads.

Johannesburg Metro Police Spokesperson, Wayne Minaar says several traffic lanes are closed due to flooding.
