Shiraaz Mahomed's family begs for Ramaphosa's help on voting day

Mahomed has been held captive in Syria for two years now after he was captured near the border with Turkey where he was taking photos of Syrian people.
The family of South African photographer Shiraaz Mahomed are appealing to President Cyril Ramaphosa to intervene and secure the release of their son.
On Wednesday morning Mahomed's mother, Shireen was waiting at the voting station where Ramaphosa was set to vote to ask for his help.

Mahomed has been held captive in Syria for two years now after he was captured near the border with Turkey where he was taking photos of Syrian people. He was accused of being a foreign spy.
recently his abductors send a "proof of life" video where he was pleading for help.
Subsequently, they have asked for a ransom of $1.5.
