Singing outside former president Nelson Mandela's Houghton, Johannesburg, house stopped as mourners went home in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Singing outside former president Nelson Mandela's Houghton, Johannesburg, house stopped as mourners went home in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Most had left by 1am. Fewer people stopped to see the messages and flowers placed on the corner of 4th and 12th streets.
Television cameras and spotlights were still set up near the house.
The number of police officers had also dwindled.
Mandela died at the house on Thursday night, at the age of 95.
His funeral will be held in his hometown of Qunu in the Eastern Cape on December 15.
