South African National Parks (SANParks) spokesperson Ike Phaahla has confirmed that the six elephants that reportedly left the Kruger National Park (KNP) in Mpumalanga on Wednesday, have returned to the park.

The herd of elephants was seen in the Mkhuhlu area, outside Hazyview on Wednesday.
Phaahla says SANParks received a report that the elephants returned to the Park late on Wednesday.
"Late yesterday (Wednesday) we received a report that a farmer had noticed the animals going back into the park, and it’s all six of them.
"We will get an update sometime this morning from the colleagues from MTPA (Mpumalanga Tourism & Parks Agency) and also our rangers who were assisting them."
