Six suspects arrested after mob justice attack in Lephalale

Limpopo police are investigating the deaths of two alleged criminals who were killed in a mob justice incident in Senoela outside Lephalale.

The men were accused of committing robberies targeting tuck shops owned by foreign nationals.
On Wednesday, the suspected criminals robbed, and pepper sprayed a shop owner.
Later in the day, the community went on a manhunt for the suspected criminals and traced them to a nearby village.
They were taken back to the shop and stoned to death.
Police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo says the six suspects will appear at the Phalala Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
"A tactical joint operation resulted in the arrest of the first suspect yesterday, followed by the other five today. The deceased suspects were identified as Duncan Mabila (25) and the other as only Steve reportedly from Zimbabwe. The six suspects aged between 27 and 43 are facing two counts of murder."
