Six year-old shot with a stray bullet in Centurion shooting
Updated | By Jacaranda FM news
A six year-old boy has been hit by a stray bullet during a shooting between security guards and suspected robbers near the Centurion Lifestyle Centre.

Police spokesperson Kay Makhubela says the shooting happened after a woman driving a Range Rover was robbed of her jewellery by three unknown suspects wearing balaclavas.
Makhubela says security guards from the centre intervened by firing shots.
"The security guards saw the suspects fleeing the scene in a car. One of the guards shot towards the car but missed. The bullet hit another car, in which the 6 year old was in" he says.
Makhubela says the security guard has been arrested for attempted murder and discharging a fire arm.
A case of robbery has also been opened.
ER24 confirmed the boy was treated at the scene and transported to hospital.
