Smooth start to online registration
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Online registration for grades 1 and 8 learners officially opened on Tuesday morning, with parents now able to register their children for the next academic year.

"We are in one of the under-privileged areas, Orange Farm, to show people that even if you don't have access to internet, our department is there to assist you," Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi said.
Lesufi explained that online registration in Orange Farm was very low last year and they want to show parents that the new system is easy, accessible and effective.
Registration will closed on 12th of June and parents are advised to apply before the closing date, to secure placement for their children.
Meanwhile, one parent said although the registration process is easy, she couldn't register at the school of her choice due to capacity issues.
"I had to register at another school but I am happy - at least it is done," she told Jacaranda FM News.
