A man accused of killing four soccer players when his bakkie crashed into their minibus is scheduled to appear in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Friday.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) was expected to announce where the trial for Mahlodi James Machete, 36, would be heard.
After his last appearance in May, Constable Moses Molepo said the NPA had to decide on whether the case would be heard in the Mankweng Regional Court or the Polokwane High Court.
Machete is out on R2000 bail.
He was charged with murder, drunken driving, and giving incorrect information to police following the accident in November last year.
He allegedly crashed into the side of the minibus taxi transporting 25 members of the Polokwane City football club on the R71 near Polokwane.
The taxi landed on its side in the path of oncoming traffic, where a bus carrying Zion Christian Church members slammed into it.
Khomotso Mpaketsane, Mojalefa Mphuthi, Koketso Takalo, and Benjamin Nthete were killed.
