Solly Msimanga hospitalised
The Tshwane Mayor has been admitted to hospital suffering from minor burns.
"The Executive Mayor is currently being treated at Unitas Hospital for minor injuries," says his spokesperson Samkelo Mgobozi.
Mgobozi says Msimanga stopped to help a stranded motorist, while on his way to the office in Centurion this morning.
However, when Msimanga opened the broken-down car's bonnet, he was exposed to fumes.
"The mayor will shortly resume his duties once he is discharged," says Mgobozi.
