Some ANC structures barred from voting at ANC conference
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
African National Congress (ANC) secetary general Gwede Mantashe says all the structres which have been nullified will not be voting at the national conference.

Some delegates from the Free State, KwaZulu-Natal as well as Bonjanala in North West will not be voting for new ANC leadership following recent court judgements against them.
The decision was taken at a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on the first day of the ANC’s conference in Nasrec.
Mantashe addressed the media ahead of the formal opening of the ANC’s 54th National Conference on Saturday afternoon.
Mantashe said delegates from these provinces will only have observer status during the much-anticipated batlle for the leadership of the party.
“We do not want to contaminate the conference so barred branches will only be observers. W will not even allow voting in different coloured papers.”
