Here's SA's word of the year
Updated | By Laila Majiet & Amogelang Maledu
It is official - state capture is South Africa's word of the year.

The Pan South African Language Board (PanSALB) made the announcement on Monday.
White monopoly capital and blesser were also among the top three words in the running for the coveted title.
PanSALB CEO Dr Rakwena Monareng says the candidates were debated and their merits considered.
"We used two companies to assist us with research. The research looked at articles in which the words appear and the number of times the article appeared," Monareng says.
It was found that the term state capture was used 20 231 times in over 11 000 South African newspapers.
The announcement of the SA Word of the Year coincides with International Dictionary Day.
