Holidaymakers returning to rural areas across the country over the festive season have been urged to protect the elderlyfrom exposure to Covid-19.
Professor Glenda Gray, who heads up the South African Medical Research Council, says South Africans should exercise caution when visiting family members.
“What worries me about the festive season is that people from the urban areas, where there is ongoing community transmissions, will move back to rural areas and those may cause even more transmissions.
