Speeding motorist 'arrogant and undermined law'
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
Gauteng traffic police has described speeding Midrand motorist Siphumulile Mncube as arrogant and someone who has no respect for the law.
The 36-year-old Mncube was granted bail of R1500 after making a brief appearance in the Midrand Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
"That is a clear sign of being arrogant and undermining the rule of the law. Now we are saying to those that were planning to do the same, showing off planning an activity before you implement. It's going to put you behind bars," said Gauteng traffic police spokesperson Obed Sibasa outside court.

A video of the 36-year-old, in which he recorded himself travelling at 308 km/h on a highway in an Audi sportscar, went viral last week.
Mncube, who resides in Midrand, was tracked down and arrested while attending a funeral in Limpopo at the weekend.
He has been charged with reckless and negligent driving and exceeding the speed limit.
He will appear in court again next month.
