Speedster arrested en route to Sfiso Ncwane memorial
Updated | By Chanelle Lutchman
A motorist has been arrested for speeding on the South Coast - apparently while on his way to gospel singer Sfiso Ncwane's memorial service in Durban.
The Road Traffic Inspectorate's Zinhle Mngomezulu says the 30-year-old driver was caught doing 209 km per hour on the N2, near Ifafa.
Mngomezulu says the speedster was handed over to the Hibberdene SAPS by Park Rynie RTI officials.
"The Hibberdene SAPS released him on bail of R1000. We were told he was proceeding to Sfiso Ncwane's memorial service in Durban, but we're not sure whether he was making [up] a story or what," she said.
