Speedster caught doing 225km/h
A 56 year old Director from a company in Tshwane was caught on the N1 freeway, north of Tshwane.
Gauteng Traffic says the man was on his way to a gambling extravaganza at Carousel and claimed he was not aware that he was travelling so fast.
Earlier, a 36 year old broker was caught on the same highway near Hammanskraal, for travelling at 219km/h.
He too told officers he did not realize the speed at which he was travelling.
Both motorists were arrested on the spot for reckless driving with an alternative charge of exceeding the speed limit of 120 km/h.
They will appear in the Pretoria North Magistrates' Court after Easter.
Five speedsters were arrested in Gauteng on Good Friday.
