Springboks in Cape Town, apologise to PE fans who missed out

Port Elizabeth was the fourth leg of a national victory parade tour that began in Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Soweto Thursday and continued in Durban and East London.
As the Springbok's World Cup victory parade wraps up in Cape Town on Monday, SA Rugby (SARU) apologised to fans in Port Elizabeth (PE) who missed out on the change to see their heroes.
"Massive crowds, congestion, and a waiting flight to Cape Town meant an unavoidable last-minute route change," Tweeted SARU.
We are as disappointed as you, and we do apologise sincerely."
Over the weekend, the Springboks took the Web Ellis Cup to both East London and Port Elizabeth.

Captain Siya Kolisi returned to his roots Sunday, holding the trophy as an open-top bus crawled through the streets of a Port Elizabeth township.
It was in Zwide, 17 kilometres (11 miles) north of the coastal city, that the Springbok colossus first handled a rugby ball on a gravel, often wind-swept school sports field.

Celebrations of the 32-12 final victory over England in Japan last weekend will conclude Monday when the team drives through the streets of Cape Town, a rugby hotbed.
