Stanza Bopape nurses ‘should lose their jobs’
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
Elina Maseko (45) believes the nurses who turned her away from the Stanza Bopape Clinic in Mamelodi should lose their jobs.
Maseko made the comments in her home on Monday during a visit by the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC).
The commission, led by its Gauteng chairperson Buang Jones, paid the clinic a visit after Maseko was turned away over a week ago.

It's alleged that the nurses refused Maseko treatment in spite of the fact that she was in labour.
She subsequently gave birth at the clinic's gate.
Speaking to Jones at her home, Maseko recounted the trauma she experienced on the day and told the commission that she would like the nurses to lose their jobs.
"I want them to lose their jobs for everything that they did to me. They did not treat me right," she said.

The commission will petition the office of Gauteng Health MEC Bandile Masuku to visit the family before the end of the week.
