[STATEMENT] Mohale breaks silence over Somizi abuse allegations
Updated | By Jacaranda FM news
Mohale Motaung, the estranged husband of popular entertainer Somizi Mhlongo, has broken his silence over leaked audio recordings.

The audio is believed to be from an interview between Mohale and one of the producers of ‘Living the Dream with Somizi’.
The audio recordings were first leaked by tabloid newspaper Sunday World last week.
In the recordings, Motaung recalls an incident where Mhlongo allegedly beat him up, leading to him suffering broken ribs and teeth.

Motaung claims the incident occured after he had lied about doing an influencer campaign.
In the statement released on Saturday morning, Motaung says the conversation he had with the producer of the show was held in confidence and that he trusted the person that he was confiding in.
Motaung further states that he was providing reasons why he did not want the audio recordings to be used in the upcoming season of the reality show.
