Still no salary payments for ANC employees

The African
National Congress (ANC) hit the headlines in recent months for its dire
financial state and inability to pay its employees on time.
ANC staff representative Mvusi Mdala on Sunday said they are still waiting for their payments for the past two months, with worries that the December cheque won’t come in.
“So far there has been no update, we were given promises last week that by Friday we would be paid, however we saw nothing. We saw only July and September payments. October and November we have received nothing.”
Mdala says now they will just have to wait and see if they are going to get paid for December.
“We really don’t know whether we will be paid, all this time we’ve been getting promises. Since April to date we got promises which have not been fulfilled, therefore we will wait and see whether by the 15th we’ll be paid our salaries or not.”
He adds that if they are not paid, they will have to wait until next year to take action against the party.
“If there is no payment, we will have to wait until next year to take any course of action as the ANC is winding down as offices close for the festive season.”
