Stray cow kills one, injures two
One person died and two others are in a critical condition after the car they were travelling in crashed into a cow in Midvaal on Tuesday evening.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst says the crash happened on Kliprivier Road.
"Shortly after 8 o’clock Tuesday night Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision Kliprivier Road in Midvaal. Reports from the scene indicates that a light motor vehicle collided head-on with a cow.
Medics assessed the scene and found that three adult males were entrapped in the vehicle."

All three were freed using the jaws of life.
"One of the patients was found to have sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on the scene. The other two patients were found to be in a critical condition and required life support intervention to stabilise them.
"Once treated the patients were transported by ambulance to hospitals for further treatment"
The cow also died on the scene.
