Strict water restrictions for Tshwane
Updated | By Silindelo Masikane
Tshwane residents have been urged to abide by water restrictions or face more stringent measures.
Like Joburg and Ekurhuleni, the city of Tshwane needs to curtail its water consumption by 15 percent.
No watering with hosepipes and irrigation is to be done between 6 o'clock in the morning and 6 o'clock in the evening.
Washing of vehicles with hosepipes is not allowed, On top of that, filling swimming pools is not to be done without special permission.
If Tshwane residents don't cut their water usage by the set 15 percent, further restrictions could be implemented.
Infrastructure MMC Darryl Moss has threatened with fines and so-called water shedding should residents not adhere to the water restrictions.
