Striking Rea Vaya bus drivers face disciplinary action
Updated | By Lonwabo Miso
Disciplinary action has been taken against Rea Vaya bus drivers who have still not returned to work after they embarked on illegal strike action on Monday.
Piotrans general manager Dumisani Mntambo says disciplinary processes began yesterday.
"Some bus drivers have not come back to work and those who have, have not made submissions of why they should not be suspended. Absent bus drivers have been issued letters informing them of the dates of their disciplinary hearing," he says.
Piotrans adds that 25% percent of their drivers are now back at work.
Buses remain out of service until next week.
