UP student suspended for Facebook post

A member of the Students Representative Council at the University of Pretoria has been suspended pending an investigation into a Facebook post related to the killing of white people.
Luvuyo Menziwa allegedly posted on social media that he wanted to "kill white people".
The civil rights group, AfriForum Youth also laid criminal charges against the student at the SAPS.
The organisations says Menziwa made slanderous comments on his Facebook page that incited violence and intimidation.
"He said that he wants to kill white people using an AK-47 or bazooka," a statement by AfriForum read.

The youth branch also held a protest action on the UP campus, during which they demanded that Menziwa be suspended from the SRC and from campus with immediate effect.
