Suspect in court for Imbali mass shooting

A man is due to line up before the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate's Court on Monday in connection with the mass shooting of 10 family members in Imbali township.

KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Jay Naicker says the suspect faces a number of charges.
"He has been charged with murder, attempted murder as well as illegal possession of firearms and ammunition."
The man was nabbed just hours after the family was gunned down - execution style - in their home on Friday.
The youngest victim was 13-years-old.
Another suspect shot at a home nearby, is under police guard in hospital.
A third suspect was killed, while the fourth escaped.
