Suspect dies in foiled robbery
A suspect has been shot and killed after the police foiled a
robbery in Tshwane.
Police spokesperson Isaac Mahamba says the incident to took place at a filling station at the Denlyn Shopping Centre in Mamelodi on Monday.
The suspects started shooting at police officers as soon as they arrived on scene, according to Mahamba.
"The members [police] returned fire, and we can confirm that one suspect was killed on the scene.”
Two other suspects were apprehended at the filling station.
However, police believe some suspects managed to flee the scene.
