Suspected rapist nabbed while napping
A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the rape of a 67-year-old woman.
Limpopo police say the suspect had been napping when police nabbed him.
"It is alleged the victim was asleep in her room when she was woken up by the sound of a window pane being broken at midnight. The suspect jumped into her room and raped her," says provincial police spokesperson Motlafelo Mojapelo.
He says the suspect fell asleep in the elderly woman's bed.
"The victim managed to alert the neighbours who summoned the police. The suspect was arrested in his deep sleep at the scene," Motlafelo adds.
The suspect will appear before the Ritavi Magistrate's Court tomorrow.
