A 31-year-old man who has been linked to as many as 13 murders in Katlehong is set to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court on Monday.

"He was arrested following a shoot-out at a house where he was hiding with his friends in Rondebult," police said in a statement.
Police acted on information from two incidents during the past week.
On Tuesday, the suspect allegedly shot at a family of four, killing an 8-year-old child.
He allegedly shot and wounded another man on Thursday evening, hours before a police raid in the early hours of Friday morning resulted in his arrest.
During the raid in Rondebult, Alberton one man was shot and killed and another wounded.
"Three women and a man who were in the house surrendered," reads the statement.
While the motive for the murders has not been established police suspect it might be related to drug dealings in Katlehong.
Police further believe the suspect could be linked to other crimes.
