Suspects abandon bail in KZN cannibalism case

The five men arrested in connection with the so-called Estcourt cannibalism case are no longer pursuing bail.
The suspects abandoned their bid in the Estcourt Magistrate's Court.
Dozens of angry community members gathered outside court this morning - hoping that bail would be denied.
The men face charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

They were arrested earlier this month after one of the suspects allegedly told police about their crimes.
The case has rocked the small central KZN town with the story grabbing headlines across the country and internationally as well.
The matter has been postponed until 29 September for further investigation.
