Three suspects were arrested after being caught in possession of counterfeit money in Musina on Thursday night.
Limpopo police’s Maphure Manamela says officers acted after receiving a tip-off about a suspicious vehicle in the area.
"The members followed the information and spotted the said vehicle driving at a high speed. A car chase then ensued until the suspects' vehicle was stopped around town. The perpetrators attempted to escape but the members acted promptly and apprehended them.”

Manamela says when searching the car they seized fake notes, including euros and US dollars, to the value of more than R500 000.
"Further investigations revealed that the suspects earlier on tried to buy at one of the shops around town with these fake notes."
The suspects will appear in the Louis Trichardt Magistrates Court soon on a charge of possession of counterfeit goods.
